Callan Saddlery
Callan Saddlery specializes in
saddle fitting and sales of good quality saddles. We believe that the horse's
welfare is of paramount importance and our aim is to fit a saddle that allows
the horse the freedom and comfort to move without restriction. To achieve this
end each horse must have a saddle fitted to him as an indivdual and also to his
rider. If the rider cannot sit centrally or has to fight to keep a good,
balanced position the horse will ultimately suffer as he tries to compensate
for the rider.
We will not fit or sell saddles
that we believe are of questionable quality as they can cause damage to the
horse and lead to accidents. We will fit individual's own saddles as long as
the quality is good and they are appropriate for horse and rider.
Any saddle we sell must be fitted
to the horse by Rachael Argo, SMS QS.
We will not sell saddles without
seeing the horse and rider. Our fitting fee is $50 per hour plus tax plus
traveling costs
(A saddle fit can take from 1.5 to 2 hours.
We are available to do clinics and
lecture/demos throughout the Atlantic Provinces - please inquire to Rachael
Argo.
